Plot and Narrative Work For The Music Video

The plot of our music video focuses upon the life of a mourning partner after her boyfriend has died. There are several shots of the mourning girlfriend as she sees her deceased boyfriend everywhere – we are going to show this by having him in some shots but then making him dissolve in the shots to show the empty space he has left in her life. Below this text shows an example f how we will fade out our artist so that he looks like he has past away.

The girlfriend will be shown going about her everyday life but with the memory of her boyfriend still on her mind. For example here is an image taken from the original music video "goodbye my lover". This image here is used to make the female look vulnerable and lonely as she is placed in a long shot. This is something that we would like to include in our music video to portray the woman as lonely.
We have done this as it links with the words to the, ‘Goodbye My Lover’ and creates a good narrative for us to work around when creating the video. We aim to use a variety of shots and editing techniques, such as the dissolve previously mentioned, to emphasise this narrative and portray it as well as possible to the audience.
