For our lip synching, we used the song 'The Man Who Cant Be Moved' by The Script.
We thought this song would be a good song to use because we know the song fairly well so we already knew most of the lyrics. It is also a slow tempo song meaning it is going to be easier for us to do the lip synching as we can keep up with it unlike if we would use a song of Eminem's we would not be able to keep up.
We also chose this song because it is a male artist who is singing the song. As part of an all boy group, it meant that one of us would be performing the lip synching meaning if it was to be a women singing the song, it would not look right as a female voice would be coming out of a male.
The reason for us completing this lip synching task is because when we come to making our actual music video, we need to know how this works and how to make our piece as professional as possible in order for it to look good.
I think that the lip synching video which we produced went okay as the majority of our video was in time with the songs however there were some parts that were slightly out. If this was to happen for our actual music video it wold mean that our end media product would look of a poor standard because it is not in time therefore it is obvious that the artist is lip synching.
Another problem which we en-counted was that we did not get enough footage when we filmed and we did not film the same bit of the song enough times. This meant that if we were out of time to the lyrics slightly, we had no more footage we could use so we just had to make do. This has helped us to realise that when we make our music video, we need to make sure to have enough footage filmed so that when we come to edit we have plenty to work with and can make sure everything is perfectly in timed to make our video look professional.
If you was to look at an artists song such as Beyoncé, you would notice that everything is perfectly timed and the singing looked realistic.
